Welcome to Cheryl's Flowers

This is who I am:

I’m Cheryl, for me being a florist is not just a business but also a passion, one that gives great pleasure and satisfaction with every customer I have the pleasure of working with. Lots of love and passion goes into every piece of floristry.

Based in Sudbury, Suffolk Near Halstead, Essex

I enjoy making the bridal bouquets that myself and the bride have worked on together. Floral installations are a joy whether its small or grand, working with flowers and creating something amazing must be the best job in world, right…

Funeral work can take floristry onto another level. Selecting certain flowers can deliver the message for you, as they did in the Victorian times. Celebrating someone’s life with very personal tributes, straight from the heart.

Another floral get together I enjoy are workshops, It’s the perfect excuse to invite a few friends over to make something amazing with drinks and nibbles.

Natural, Wild, Pretty & Delicate:

This is the perfect description of the work I produce.

How I became a Florist:

I used to help my dad with wedding photography, tagging along to every wedding booking holding his heavy bags full of equipment, it was so rewarding and quite personal because you were involved in something special. When I left school, I went down administration route as I was told by several florist’s I did not have any experience or qualifications, until someone told me about Writtle College. I was a student for 7 years; I gained my Advance level in floristry (level 3). By the age of 25 I was a full-time mum and housewife and then started working in a florist part time. I was headhunted by an Adult Education Centre and offered the position of a Floristry Tutor 2 evenings a week which I accepted, a few years later it ended due to lack of funding.

In 2002 Cheryl’s Flowers was established offering bespoke wedding flowers, fun floral creations for parties or events, to emotive, memorable memorial and Sympathy tributes. FREE consultations are offered to bridal couples and bereaved families in the comfort of your own home as this provides a quiet and relaxed environment.
